HOW TO SUBMIT WINES FOR REVIEW

I will periodically request specific wines; however you are welcome to submit all your new releases to me as soon as possible so I can publish reviews before wines sell out. Please include this essential information:  suggested retail pricing, case quantities, release date, vineyard sources and élévage. Two bottles are preferable but not required.

All wines will be tasted after a resting period of at least a week. For recommended wines my complete tasting notes will be posted. Three top selections each week will be featured: Wine of the Week, Value Wine of the Week and Wine For the Cellar. Some notes will also be posted on Instagram (paulgwine) and Substack (with scores). Please use cardboard shippers – not styrofoam. Confirm your proposed shipping dates via e-mail (paulgwine@me.com) BEFORE you send the wines. This ensures that the weather is favorable and I am not out of town.

DETAILS:  A new post on this website with three featured wines and a longer ‘Deep Dive’ essay appears every Friday morning at 8 am. Please note that not every wine tasted will be reviewed. This site is focused on recommended wines based upon extensive, repeated tastings of small numbers of peer group wines. I DO NOT taste blind – I believe in context. After considerable industry feedback, I have decided to post scores for all wines listed on this website and on my Substack pages.

Whenever your website allows I will link my recommendations directly to your sales pages. Please use my reviews and scores for your marketing and sales.
